Destiney Mangus incorporates a client-centered, evidence-based approach to support individuals through their healing journey. With experience in both higher education and private practice settings, she brings a unique perspective to helping clients navigate life transitions and personal growth. Through her collaborative work with postsecondary institutions and community resources, Destiney has developed expertise in creating comprehensive support systems for her clients.

In therapy, Destiney focuses on providing a safe, nurturing environment where clients can work toward their individual goals and develop self-awareness. She has extensive experience working with teens and adults, with particular emphasis on supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and autism. Destiney is passionate about helping clients strengthen their executive functioning skills while nurturing their overall mental well-being. She specializes in supporting individuals through depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other mental health challenges, utilizing evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.

Through her therapeutic approach, Destiney helps clients heal from their past experiences, develop effective problem-solving strategies, build emotional regulation skills, and gain confidence in their self-identity. She recognizes the importance of creating an individualized treatment plan that acknowledges each client's unique needs and goals.

 

Outside of work, Destiney enjoys spending time with her husband and their two cats, Lincoln and Jersey. She finds peace in nature, maintains her own wellness through regular exercise, and enjoys listening to jazz music. Her commitment to continuous learning is reflected in her regular participation in clinical webinars and conferences, ensuring she brings the most current and effective therapeutic approaches to her practice.
