What to Expect in Therapy
Your First Visit

Welcome: You'll be greeted warmly and invited to our comfortable reception area.

Paperwork: You'll complete necessary forms prior to your first appointment in the SimplePractice client portal.

Meeting Your Therapist: Your therapist will invite you to their office and begin getting to know you.

Intake Assessment: You'll discuss what brings you to Carolina Pines Counseling Center and important background information about your personal and family history.

Plan: Together, you and your therapist will start developing a therapy plan tailored to your needs.
Ongoing Sessions

Sessions typically last approximately 50 minutes and occur weekly or biweekly.

Your therapist will incorporate evidence-based therapy techniques that align to your treatment plan goals.

You'll have the opportunity to discuss your progress and adjust your goals as needed.
